Day 4
So yesterday saw a trip to the Manchester Christmas Markets, lots of ducking, diving, hurrying and indulging of course so perhaps the Hot Pants may off set the copious amounts of Mulled Wine and Hot Chocolate I consumed. A short planned trip turned in to roughly 3-4 hours on my feet, so they got their wear this day.
Day 5
Today, Tuesday - as always is Hooligan training so I headed to the Thunderdome with my Hot Pants under some running tights (as it's getting a tad chilly there now). Two hours on the track where, I have to say, I was a lot warmer than I usually am during a training session.
We did a lot of cardio today hopefully I worked off the treats from yesterday! Again taking them off left me with the very comical reverse tan lines and also nice smoote skin. I am loving the improvement, I do moisturise but have never had smoothe skin like this before.
A place for my adventures, rantings and experiences. Have a read, have a giggle :D

Zaggora Hot Pants Challenge : Day 3
Day 3 saw another Roller Derby day.
This time a lot more work and game play - I definately burnt a few more calories on my own accord - so the Hot Pants had the chance to do their stuff today too.
Definately more amusing trying to get out of them today as they were very sweaty, I can see the 80% increase in perspiration (apologies for the details).
With them in need of a wash and the instructions advising they should avoid the washing machine I opted to throw them in the shower with me. They are currently hanging up to dry ready for a lazy day tomorrow. With a Derby game Saturday and full training Sunday, I deserve a rest :).

Zaggora Hot Pants Challenge : Day 2
Today's test of the Hot Pants was on the Roller Derby track. They were a nice addition to my boutfit, They fitted nicely under my shorts and gave me a bit of protection for my thighs without the need for tights. I didn't really feel any difference wearing them but after an hours worth of skating I definitely felt the difference taking them off.
The wetsuit comparison definitely comes in to play when taking them off after a good work out, I'll also warn you it must be quite comical to be in the toilet stall next to someone who is going to the loo whilst wearing these, the sounds they make are so funny - again if you wear wetsuits this, I'm guessing this is a sound you are used to.
Another thing that amused me that when I took them off it was like I had been sat in the sun for a few hours, my thighs were so pale - and very smooth.
Lots of compliments about my Hot Pants and lots of interest in the product. I am very impressed with these so far, I know it's only been 2 days but I am seeing an improvement to my skin.

Zaggora Hot Pants 2 week Challenge
So today I started my 2 week challenge with Hot Pants. The idea is you wear these pants for 30 minutes a day and you can loose 2 dress sizes in 2 weeks and they also boast to dramatically reduce the appearance of cellulite at the same time. - I'm game for that :)
Take out of your mind any idea of hotpants may have seen in the film fame or any other 80's throw back movie (so don't worry ladies they are safe to wear in public) they look like a cross between granny pants and an exaggerated pair of peddle pushers, with a neat little logo on the side.
The Hot Pants themselves are made from a neoprene material by the looks of things which is a tough material so even putting them on makes me feel a little trimmer as it tucks everything in, plus very comfortable to wear, no seems or rubbing. They are suited to wear on their own and also to throw on under a pair of jeans.
They work by increasing your perspiration by up to 80% so enhances ANY exercise you are already doing, the leaflet that comes basically suggests that you can wear them during every day activities to gain a result - running after your little darlings, ironing, washing, cooking, running for the bus and also of course general aerobics and playing on things like the Wii. Love it! They seem to be designed for the modern woman with a hectic life style - finally, someone has heard our prayers!!!

The starter measurements...
Waist 30inches
Hips 34inches
Thigh (just out of interest) 22inches
Hips 34inches
Thigh (just out of interest) 22inches
The results and reviews on the website look promising so I have to say this is one of my more inviting challenges :)
This morning as I knew it would pretty much a day of running from one place to another and sitting at desks - I opted to pop them on under my jeans and headed to the Studio.

RCRG v LRG Brawl Saints
The Rainys took an early lead, Missy Rascal getting lead jammer status and stealing the first set of points. LRG settled into the game quickly though, pulling back to keep the score close in the first 15 minutes.
Rotating jammers Missy Rascal, Randi Razorlegs and Belle-Istic, the Rainys scored highly and defended well, but incurred major penalties, resulting in the visiting team scoring heavily in a number of power jams. LRG took the lead and widened the gap in the scoreline to 51-109 by the end of the first period.
In the second period both teams came back fighting hard; half-time evaluations of the other sides tactics helping them to deploy clever counter-attacks. Rainy City bravely drove forwards, demonstrating tremendous agility and nerve to boost the points for the home team. They battled hard to defend against the LRG onslaught, but the game finished with a final score of 126-185 to the London team. The defeat did nothing to dampen the home team's spirits - having held their own against one of the best leagues in the country.
This feat of athleticism was the first of many events planned for the Thunderdome, and marks the start of a new era for roller derby in the North-West.

October 2011
So Halloween 2011 is over, I had an awesome time this year. Got loads of Scare Attractions in.Alton Towers Scarefest
Scare Kingdom
Bunker 13
Farmaggedon
Fright Water Valley
Lots of new wonderful concepts being tried out, some worked for me, some didn't and some are a little controversial I think.
#WINNING
After many years of debating how I could balance my 'proper job' and also get back to some performance work, I was fortunate enough to manage it this year, albeit briefly. The wonderful people at Scare Kingdom offered me a part to play - actually on Halloween night which was fantastic! I had booked the day off at the Station and at Zen several months ago but with Paul unable to book the day off I was kind of stuck deciding what to do, then a trip to Scare Kingdom for a review on Sunday night presented me with the ideal solution.
I had so much fun. It took me a few groups to figure out the part properly but I think after the first few I was definitely on a roll (at least I hope I was).
At first I chose to attempt a roar to try and scare my audience (as this was a suggestion when I was given a quick run through) and then telling them which way to go when they didn't move at my attemped roar. I found this didn't really work when I tried it (not having the gruffest of voices). I found it was easier to scare people staying silent, especially as they didn't quite know what or who you are. I was a hooded/masked character with no human features showing so I think me giving it a human voice didn't work (as I say, it would have done if I had a better roar lol).
I found creeping round and stalking them worked better, if it didn't get a scream it definately made most feel uneasy. Those that found 'something that didn't make a noise' not frightening, I gave them a little scare on their way round - making use of a cut through in the maze I was situated in to jump out at the front of the group and as it was dark I could usually get the ones at the back too who hadn't seen me on the first attempt.
I would say I probably got a scream 90% of the time and made them jump 99% (as I can't make any guarantees).
It was a fun part to play, and it makes me remember the good times I had as a performer and of course has stoked the fire and rekindled the yearning that I have tried so hard to surpress. The same yearning I get when I see a Musical, I know it's silly but it does make me sad inside everyday knowing what is out there and that I'm sat in a call centre answer the phone. I always said at School I would never be the one to be sat at an office desk wondering 'what if' and I sadly find myself playing that part on a daily basis.
Still, I know now in some way it is possible to have the best of both worlds potentially. Plan next year, book the whole of October off and audition for some scare attractions - Scare Kingdom of course being number one.
