Ode to me

Its a shame when you go through life you pass and encounter many varieties of people. At my soon to be last job (last as in I have another, not last as in I don't work at all anymore) I met a fantastic range of people that I will miss and cherish...soppy I know!
But it's true. The people I have met I will remember and I hope they will remember me too...in a nice way.
Big headed I know but below follows a poem written by one of my friends and I wanted to share it with someone other than my laptop....

We have our very own rock and roller

Though we’ve never heard her sing

But hopefully on our night out

She’ll belt out with some zing.

She’s really her own dresser

Her odd socks are real good

They really match her expensive shoes

She wears them as only she could.

And when it comes to jewellery

And finding a product sku

You won’t find a person better

To do it than our very own...........

Luci lou.

...yes I realise I can get sued now by the author of that poem but hey ho. Thank you Yvonne. I love it!

Jobs - the fine print!

Why is it that people will hire you for a job based on how competant, talented and qualified you are then before you start send you a letter saying you can't look how you look?!

I go to my inerviews well dressed and tidy but don't make an effort to take out my piercings as they are who I am what I now look like, (if I was to take them out they will close up and that would defeat the point!). I don't wear rings and stuff in my nose for working/interviews but chose to stick to a descrete non offensive stud. I have yet had no problems.

Aparantly I did really well on my latest interview and will be perfect for the job. However have just recieved my letter to say welldone etc which has in it the work wear etc. No facial piercings! Fair enough. Rules are rules. But if these are the rules why couldn't they have been said in the interview when they clearly saw I had them???

It is a job working in a call centre, and aparantly a stud in my nose and upper ear stop me from being able to do this job!

I would like to know why!

How to grab the world by the balls

Isn't it amazing what a shallow world we are? It seems that our one weekness has finally be found...

There were other options to take, nuclear war perhaps. Kidnapping and holding for ransom some of the most important people in politics would be another acceptable way.

No to all of the above!

The one way it seems, to truelly make the world get down on its hands and knees and truely admit defeat.......is to call a writers strike!!!!

No more Lost!
No more Prison Break!
No more award ceremonies..(gasp)
The writers strike has been on for nearly 10 weeks, the longest one before that was 21 weeks 6 days (yes I've done my homework). I bet wars have gone on longer with less notice and publicity.

Well I have to say writers..welldone! It seems this is the worlds one week point! TELEVISION

Come on people..get a life!!

Yes ok I admit..perhaps I am a little happy that I will be seeing lost again. But my point stil stands!

Today I am geek.

The idea was to created this blog so I could share the rant I have just had, however now I am at the point of clicking create I suddenly stop and think...hold on...your first official blog..wow. I carry on to think..I need something soecial to open this with. Some sort of amazing insight to the world of me to begin the now (hopefully) continuing story that will slowly explain my spiral into insanity.

Well.. I can't think of anything that profound, except. My name is Luci and this is my blog.

Let the rantings begin :oD.
